I MISSED YOU GRANDDAD!!}

 Alhamdulillah!

My granddad passed away peacefully on 15 Feb 2021. I am very sad and missed him so much!

My granddad had been diagnosed with lung cancer Stage 4. I am very shocked upon hearing this because he was very strong and independent man that I used to know. At the age of 94, he has lived his life long enough to be able to share his own experiences about anything that he knew. A responsible and determined man, he has been taking care of my mum and my late grandmother (I still missed you Nenek K) very well.

I remembered when I was in polytechnic, he told me to study really hard to go to the university of my choice. I guess it is good to know that there is someone who is there with me. Upon my graduation, he once asked me to further my studies to Masters but I rather work first and get work experience before embarking with the student life once again. Yes, I know that it may seem the best way for me to continue my study but I know that once you continue, I will be way back from my peers in terms of work experience unless I am born with a silver spoon to be honest.

Back to my granddad, the doctor told us that he may have six months to live but I know that it is just a gauge as I knew that my granddad is a strong and determined person to overcome this even though the strength is not as good as before. I knew that one day, my granddad will be weak and fragile but I cannot accept the fact about his condition but Allah knew the best. I prayed that he will live longer and able to see him to do what he can before he leave the world.

I am glad that he have someone to take care of him which is my step grandma. This will help us to lessen our burden as we all are working and busy with life. Not to say we are inconsiderate but to give us a sense of relief that someone is taking of him. We will be more prepared and aware of his condition so as to react quickly to any unforeseen circumstances. I have to say that my granddad is the only one left that I will always cherish because I am quite close with him and my late grandmother, by the way, it is my mother's parents. So what else shall I do? I guess I just prayed and seek help from Allah that my granddad will always be strong to overcome this and I know he can do it!

Life is short and do take care of your health. It is not too late to start fresh and maintain your diet. You never know that one day we will fall sick but having good body can help to recover our immune system. I have start to take care of myself and ensure that everything is in order. Not to mention, regular walk, jog, exercise is vital to our body too. So why not, act now before it is too late.

To end this post, yes, my post for this month is only dedicated to my granddad and I will update about myself in the next post. I hope that everyone will stay safe and well especially this time of the year even the pandemic is well controlled, don't be too complacent and practice good hygiene. Till then!
