SEA GAMES MEDIA RELATIONS OFFICER}
Thursday, 18 June 2015 | 16:17 | 0Comment As stated on my title, I volunteered for the position of the Media Relations Officer, which my task is able to handle photographer, reporter and writer from the Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Myanmar. It may sound complicated at first but I got hold of it after going for training and having to volunteer for the period of one week. I was tasked to be in charge of the Media Relations for Squash and I am very fortunate to have my colleagues working with me. They are Ming Li and Sze Hui. Even though, we are shorthanded as the initial strength was 8 at first, we have no choice to stick to only three and to handle this period of one week smoothly and efficiently.   The one week journey with Ming Li and Sze Hui was very interesting and enjoyable as we three bond easily and talked as if we known each other long enough. The three man team was established and we made it through till the end of the SEA Games. Not only that, we are able to interact with each other more and talked about anything that we can think of. Squash! I have been eyeing to play this sport but I didn't know that it is part of the SEA Games sport in which only 5 countries play this sport and it is not recognised yet as a sport as whole on the Olympic records. Well, for me, I guess it is time for me to play this sport and drag my bff Nadirah J with me to play this sport. What makes me want to play or try this sport is due to how the sport is being played and how to at the same time, release my stress and exercising in order to maintain a good healthy body.  Back to my task, overall, it is quite challenging for me as the media are like 'OMG' especially the reporters keep on interviewing the squash players past the time limit and it gave me to shout at them but to no avail, I have to talk to them nicely in order for them to give ways to other media from other countries to interview their own country players. I hope that everyday will be a good day as I got so exhausted day in and day out thanks to the reporters and photographers. I will not talk so much about it and do enjoy the pictures that I took even though I have no time to sit down and relax.  This is the memorable experience that I wont forget and forging a friendship with my media team was amazing and knowing who is the player for Squash which I also don't know that they even exists and at the same time, handling all the media from the 5 countries was something I wont able to forget. Hope to see them again and CONGRATS to the Squash Team for clinching Gold Medal for the Jumbo Team. Announcement: RazzleDazzle has already changed its name to dee chic as effect on 15 June 2015 because me and my business partner Nadirah J wants something out from ourselves so we decided to use the dee chic as our company name. For now, we will be having our annual flea market at SENTOSA BROADWALK on 20 and 21 June 2015 from 4pm to 11.30pm on Sat and 2pm to 9.30pm on Sun.
