ARTSTAGE VERNISSAGE 2015}
Thursday, 22 January 2015 | 20:26 | 0Comment As you knew from my previous post that I will write my experience attending the ArtStage 2015, so here is the post about it. Once again, I will like to thank Atika Lim for the invite and it will be a great opportunity for me to know what is really Art from the prospect of the artist itself. I invited my bff Nadirah Jamadi and we are very excited to view the exhibition at the ArtStage 2015 which is held at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre. Nadirah and I met up and went to Marina Bay Sands and the vernissage started at 6pm to 9pm. I was so amazed with the crowd there as everyone was dressed up and a lot of exhibitors showing their art pieces at the convention itself. Stepped in to the Hall B and it was so awesome that the place was filled with all the artwork from various countries around South East Region. What caught my eye is the artist Andy Warhol. He is an prolific artist and created a lot of artwork such as Marilyn Monroe. Not only that, some art work I see are quite simple yet interesting. Why I said that because the simple thing that came across the mind of the artist is what they portray in their art piece and to see the fact, I could say if only I am able to do the same, maybe my art work will be display at the exhibition. Oh no! Just saying but maybe in the future I might be doing it. Talked to one of the exhibitor from Japan, she explained that the artwork that she shown was done back in 2014 and how creative is this artist that able to come out with not only one or two but four artwork within the time frame. Even though I might not be into listening to this small conversation, I am able to think that every work that the artist do need a lot of determination and also hard work. Kudos to them. Now I understand the prospect of art in my own definition and how tough it will be to come out with creative yet innovative art work.
